About the Home of the Innocents ...
Home of the Innocents is a Louisville-based nonprofit organization that enriches the lives of children and families with hope, health, and happiness. Their therapeutic programs care for thousands annually, including those with medical complexities and young survivors of abuse.
The Home is KREIA's charity of choice, and we have raised over half a million dollars for their programs over the years.
You can help us support the Home by:
- Contributing via our online donation page (tax-deductible for you!)
- Participating in our 50/50 raffle drawings at main meetings
- Shopping for items on their wish lists (local drop-off and shipped options available)..
If your work in real estate has positioned you to do so, please consider making a gift. KREIA couldn't provide meaningful support to Home of the Innocents without contributions from our individual members.
On any given day, more than 100 young people are living on the Home’s 24/7/365 campus. Your gift helps provide those children the care and enrichment they deserve.
You can see the Home's mission in action by checking out the video on this page or visiting them for a tour. If you do, you'll be the latest in a long line of KREIA members who have had their hearts and lives changed by getting involved.
Late in 2017, KREIA newsletter editor Lauren Willoughby and photographer Bruce Hinson visited the Home of the Innocents. Here is a report of what they saw and the children they met. Read/Download the article (PDF).
See more of Bruce Hinson's photos in this Nov. 17 post in KREIA's members-only Facebook Group. (Are you a KREIA member who's not in the Group? Request to join here.)
