Leap Year comes once every 4 years. This Leap Year Day, Saturday, February 29th, will be memorable -- because that's when KREIA is holding a day-long retreat at Taylorsville Lake. It'll be a full day of networking, socializing and educational seminars.
A couple of KREIA members are volunteering their cabins as the venues for this event, and lunch will be provided by KREIA sponsor Mike Fallot of MM Lending.
There will be a welcome and introduction message at 10 a.m., then the panels begin. They're running in parallel, one in a KREIA member's cabin and one in a nearby poolhouse. Here's the schedule -- you decide which panels you want to attend.
10:15 a.m.: Dennis Erhard in the Poolhouse. Dennis will talk about landlording and building wealth through real estate. Dennis is a KREIA Past President and a cashflow landlord who focuses on ROI.
10:15 a.m.: Joe Hampton in the cabin. Joe will walk us through 1031 Exchanges and advanced real estate strategies. Joe is a KREIA Past President and also a broker with RE/MAX.
11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Lunch.
1 p.m.: Frank Miller in the Poolhouse. Frank will cover wholesaling and house flipping. Frank is also a KREIA Past President and he heads up the investor coaching company Believe Investment Group.
2:30 p.m.: Harry Borders in the Poolhouse. Harry will cover the basics of real estate law, asset protection and privacy (land trusts), with an assist from his paralegal, Renee Buster. Harry is an attorney with Borders & Borders.
2:30 p.m.: Frank Miller and Todd Hunter in the Cabin. Frank and Todd will discuss landlording.
4 p.m.: Ask the Experts Panel in the Poolhouse. Bring your questions!
5 p.m. - ...: Networking, with snacks. A CashFlow board game will be available.
When you sign in on site on Leap Day in Taylorsville, you'll be refunded the $20 deposit you made at kreia.com. If you don't show up, however, your deposit will be donated to the Home of the Innocents. We think you'll agree that that's a good use of your funds. (But we hope to see you in your seat on Leap Day!)
Important: Seating will be limited, so please bring folding chairs if you can!
Parking Note: There is a gate you'll need to pass on your way to the cabin and poolhouse. A gate code with instructions will be mailed to you Friday evening, Feb. 28.
Event organizers are Hampton Scurlock and Katie Crotzer.
