Interested in owning rental property but you're starting out with little cash and knowledge? Mike Butler is the guy to teach you! He started a few decades ago in Louisville while working a full-time job as an undercover police detective, having little cash in the bank.
Along the way he became a national speaker on investing in rental property using little money -- and managing rentals as efficiently as possible. Which includes getting more than 100% of your rents using smart systems.
Mike is also a KREIA Past President and Ed Melton Award recipient. And he's our featured speaker at our January main meeting.
He began buying properties with little money down, using creative strategies. And he teaches his investing students how to do that even today. He's known for saying, "I have never gone to the bank to buy an investment property."
Over the years Mike's rental portfolio grew and grew, and he developed systems and time-saving strategies that helped him manage his portfolio in very little time — and increase his profits. He wrote a book about it: "Landlording on Autopilot," which became a best-seller.
At KREIA's January 23rd meeting, Mike is going to share some of his systems with us — and answer your questions.
And if we're lucky, he'll also share some of his many stories from being a "landlord in the trenches."
Early Meeting at 5:30 p.m.: No one wants to leave money on the table -- but you are if you're buying rehab materials from Home Depot and not taking advantage of the Pro XTRA account privileges you get just by being a member of KREIA. The reward rebates you get could pay for your KREIA membership many times over! And that doesn't include the discounts on paint (20%!) and cabinets, and the perks of volume pricing and working with the Pro Bid Room. Jordan Pohn walks you through how to claim your rewards.
